Knoxville, TN (August 12, 2013) - Stereo Radio, an independent Christian pop/dance band based in Knoxville, Tennessee, has initiated a Kickstarter campaign to fund their opportunity to record an album with a highly recognized music industry professional.

It's not just any new album, according to Zack Roskop, keyboardist and founding member. "We have been given an incredible opportunity to record with a well-known, successful producer, and in a top-of-the-line studio," says Zack. "The kicker is that we need to be recording in the studio at the end of August, which means we have less than 20 days to achieve our funding goal of $4,000. But we're confident that backers will enjoy the unique pledge incentives we've set up." There are a variety of incentives, from signed CDs and Stereo Radio merchandise to the chance to sing background vocals on the album and a private concert.

"As an indie band, when doors like this open out of the blue, you've got to do everything you can to walk through them," says David (DK) Kelley, lead singer. "That's why we're asking our friends, family, and fans, and the local community, for their much needed support."

Stereo Radio is a faith-inspired high-energy pop/dance band. David says, "We've always played music that's uplifting and encouraging. We are a Christian band, but we're also a band of Christians willing to play secular venues. There are a lot of people who play music for people who have been churched, but there are not a lot of people bringing a positive message to the unchurched, bands that are trying to bridge that gap and do both."

Band members Are Jay Helton, Matt Malone, and Zack Roskop began playing music together at church while high school students in Knoxville, adding David Kelley as lead singer and most recently Jonah Gibson on bass.
